Blue Frog Conservation Area
In 2019, Friends of Scenic Chocolog Road will begin construction on a recreational trail network in the newly created Blue Frog Conservation Area. The trails will be open for use by hikers, trail runners, cross-country skiers, mountain bikers, and equestrians.
ACCESS and parking
Blue Frog Conservation Area will be accessible from the corner of Turner Farm Road (under construction) and Chocolog Road, near the intersection with Chestnut Street. A parking lot with ample room for horse trailers will be constructed at the trailhead.
TRAIL network and connection to southern new england trunkline trail
The two-mile trail will begin at the parking lot and loop around the back of the new Cobbler's Knoll subdivision. One-quarter of a mile from the parking lot, the trail will connect to the Southern New England Trunkline Trail.
